Michael Rosenbaum is an American actor, producer, singer, podcaster, musician, comedian, director, and so much more. His most famous role was that of Lex Luthor in the hit TV series Smallville.
Born in Oceanside, New York, young Michael was raised in Newburgh, Indiana, by his mother and father, who were later divorced. Michael is one of the six children of his parents before they were divorced.
Later, his mother, who wrote the book Journey of Lifetime, married sports reporter Gordon Engelhardt and his father remarried Alexis Pellegrino. Michael, thus, has two half-sisters as well, both from his father's side.
He went to Castle High School in Newburgh, and he graduated from Western Kentucky University, Kentucky, with a degree in theatre arts. Immediately after his graduation, Michael moved to New York to pursue a full-time acting career.
Michael Rosenbaum was undoubtedly born to become an actor since he stood out as the new talent during the casting submission for a pilot called ''Girl Talk.''
Even though the pilot never went on-air, the charm of Michael was such that he soon became a part of a new MTV pilot that came into business specifically for Michael and was named the Michael Rosenbaum Project. In the series, Lex Luthor is shown as a man who walks on the thin line between good and evil. He was sent to Smallville by his father, Lionel Luthor, to handle the business of the Luthor Corp fertilizer plant in the town.
However, after he drove his car off the bridge, he was miraculously saved by Clark Kent (Tom Welling), the local boy and instantly developed a friendship with him.
